Tara L. Harris

Tara joined Lowenhaupt Global Advisors in 2004, when she took the lead in the building and implementation of family office integration and coordination services. As Family Office Executive, she is responsible for the management of one of our family office teams.

Before joining the firm, Tara managed investor relations for ARCH Development Partners, a venture capital fund focusing on seed-stage investments in start-up technology companies, where she developed her expertise in customized reporting and financial management. At ARCH, Tara also specialized in advising and assisting portfolio companies in the set-up of internal operations. Her earlier positions in the financial industry include various roles in the Structured Sales and Marketing departments of GE Capital's rail asset management division.

Prior to establishing herself in financial services, Tara worked in publishing where her roles included writing, editing and project management and served as Publishing Manager of Morris Publishing. Tara's volunteer efforts include work on behalf of the St. Louis Art Museum.

Tara earned her B.A., magna cum laude, with awards of High Distinction in both English Literature and Theatre Arts, from Hastings College in 1996. She was awarded membership in Alpha Chi, the national scholastic honorary society, as well as the honorary societies of her areas of discipline. Tara also studied accounting at Northwestern University. She is currently pursuing a program of study with the American College leading to designation as a CFP.
