Mark brings over 19 years experience to the oversight of individual and family wealth.  Prior to joining Lowenhaupt Global Advisors, Mark was responsible for managing the delivery of investment support services for Bank of America’s Private Bank Investment Advisory Services Group.  Mark worked with senior management to develop and execute projects designed to effectively service clients while increasing profitability and reducing risk exposure.  In his role he also developed strategic plans and implemented programs to focus employees on achieving strategic objectives in the local, regional and national Private Bank markets.  As a project manager at Bank of America Capital Management, Inc., a registered investment advisor, Mark was responsible for spearheading and implementing strategic initiatives involving product development, marketing, technology, and compliance. At Boatmen’s Trust Company Mark coordinated the execution of projects for the mutual fund complex, with over $6 billion in assets, and spearheaded the merger of two registered investment companies resulting in an increase of $1 billion in assets.   Mark’s experience includes managing institutional and private bank relationships with significant concentrations in real estate and alternative investments.     

Mark is an alumnus of Up With People, the international leadership program, having been a cast member in 1982-83.  Actively involved in the community, Mark served on the Downtown YMCA Board of Managers for over ten years where he spearheaded the YMCA Corporate Challenge — in which teams from downtown corporations compete against each other in office-themed athletic events.  The Downtown YMCA recognized Mark’s volunteer contributions by presenting him with Volunteer of the Year recognition in 1989 and again in 1991.  

Mark earned his M.A., magna cum laude, International Affairs, from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and his B.A., magna cum laude, Political Science/Communications, from Eureka College, Eureka, IL.
