Joe joined Lowenhaupt Global Advisors with over 30 years experience advising private investors regarding their private equity and non-liquid investments. He is formerly a General Partner of Quest Specialty Chemicals, LLC, a private equity investment firm.

Prior to his affiliation with Quest, Joe was Managing General Partner of Kling Rechter & Co., L.P., a private equity firm in partnership with Bank One Equity Capital Corporation, the private equity investment arm of Bank One Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) Prior to the formation of Kling Rechter & Co. in 1991, Joe was a Managing Director of Investment Banking at Prudential Securities, Inc., and headed its St. Louis office, which was responsible for a six state region. He began his career in 1973.

A graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business, Joe is a past President of the Jewish Center for the Aged in St. Louis, as well as a former President of the Center of Contemporary Arts in St. Louis. In addition, he is a trustee of Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School, and a former trustee of the Missouri Investment Trust and of Logan College. Joe currently serves as the Treasurer of the City of Ladue, Missouri.

Joe was the recipient of the 2001 ReInvest St. Louis Award and was listed as one of The 100 Leaders to Watch in 2002 by the St. Louis Business Journal.
