As Chief Compliance Office and General Counsel of Lowenhaupt Global Advisors, Hugh is an attorney with 30 years of experience in the management of family wealth. He is also Senior Counselor with Lowenhaupt Global Advisors' affiliated law firm, Lowenhaupt & Chasnoff. Hugh counsels families regarding family and charitable trust administration, private foundations, and dispute resolution in tax and trust matters in the courts and administrative agencies. He is admitted to the New York Bar as well as to practice in Missouri, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims

A Director and President of the St. Louis University Library Associates and a former director of the Grace Hill Settlement House and the Alliance Française Groupe de St-Louis, Hugh is also the former President of the Harvard Club of St. Louis. He is a member of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Missouri Bar and the American Bar Association.

Hugh earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his B.A, cum laude, from Harvard University. He is fluent in French.
