Donna joined Lowenhaupt Global Advisors with over 30 years of experience as an investment
professional. As chief investment advisor she is dedicated to serving clients by focusing on
asset allocation, manager search and selection as well as portfolio monitoring, manager
communication and coordination.
The former Chief Investment Officer of Progress Investment Management Company, LLC, a
$4.9 billion institutional asset management firm based in San Francisco, California, Donna is a
recognized leader in funding emerging investment management firms. As the firm’s Chief
Investment Officer, she chaired the Investment Committee and was a member of the
Management Committee. Her responsibility for all investment and fund-related activities
included quantitative evaluation and the monitoring of manager performance, portfolio
monitoring and analysis, manager selection and communication.
Prior to joining Progress, Donna was the Chief Investment Officer for the New York City
Comptroller's Office where she was responsible for evaluating investments in all asset classes
and developing strategy for approximately $100 billion in pension fund assets for the City's
pension plans. Previously, she served as Senior Investment Advisor for the United Mine
Workers Association Health & Retirement Funds and held pension-related positions with US
West, United Banks of Colorado and as a Trustee for the State of North Dakota Retirement
System.
A Director of the ICMA VantagePoint Funds and Chair of the Investment Committee, she is a
former member of the Pension Managers Advisory Committee for the NYSE and the Advisory
Board for Pensions 2000. She also served on the Red Cross Endowment and Investment
Committee, the Board of Pensions of the Methodist Church and Low Income Housing Committee, along with various industry-related committees and activities. She has been an
invited speaker at investment-related educational seminars in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia
and New Zealand.
Donna earned her BS in Economics & Finance, summa cum laude from Regis University. |
